Well the feel of the game would completely change, it would no doubt feel less heavy at 60fps which may have improved the immersion by being 30fps. Nothing felt heavy. It is not like 60 fps makes Joel walk quicker. There is a considerable benefit to having completely smooth gameplay though.
It will drop down to the 50s range in some heavier areas but keeps generall around 60ish. 3840x2160@30 fps with "high" (better) shadow quality. You give up some frames for an even sharper image and has higher shadow resolution. You can also cap the game to 1080p@30 or 60 fps with the better shadow quality.
